Everything You Need to Know about the Painted Shoes
Workshop
Joey Sourant will conduct this creative workshop on
Thursday, January 14 at 1:00 PM.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate. The workshop should
be finished by 3:00 PM, but Joey will plan to stay for anyone
who needs extra time. Paint, brushes and sealer will be
supplied. Bring your own shoes...preferably old ones you don't
wear anymore, or ones that need a little spiffing up. You might
want to visit the White Elephant if there is nothing in your
wardrobe. Leather or canvas is fine. If you plan to use several
colors, sandals, golf shoes, clogs, etc. with sections (seams)
work best.
Joey expects she has enough paint for everyone, but you can buy
your own if you prefer. If you do, Joey suggests Lumiere by
Jacquard, and Joanne's often carry small packets with a sampling
of quite a few colors. Or try, Amazon.com. Lumiere
paints are metallic or pearlized. Some people like Neopaque by
Jacquard, which are more of a flat paint. Joey has about 15
colors of Lumiere to choose from.
If you have an extra vinyl tablecloth you don't need for a
dinner party, please bring it.
